"Christopher Reeve just passed away, and America just lost a great champion for this cause, somebody who was a powerful voice for the need to do stem cell research and change the lives of people like him, who have gone through a tragedy. Well, if we do the work that we can do in this country, the work that we will do when John Kerry is president, people like Christopher Reeve are going to walk, get up out of that wheelchair and walk again." --John Edwards, politicizing Reeve's death before the body was even cold

I planned to use a bit of satire in commenting on Edwards claim that a vote for Kedwards would heal the lame and perhaps raise the dead... in a hopefully witty essay combining a parody of Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show and the stereotypical southern evangelical faith healer, until, I read an article by Charles Krauthammer. He made me realize how NOT funny it was.

Please go read it, if you haven't already... or go read it again if you have...
