Many of us are, like a frustrated soul I ran across on the blogs, war weary citizens... because that is exactly what we are in... WAR! It is doubly frustrating and exacting because we are not just in a war against the terrorists, we are in a war for the heart and soul of America. We are fighting each other... a second civil war in everyway except the shooting... although from what I hear some of that has been going on with shots being fired into Republican headquaters.

There are not as many undecideds out there as you may think. The reason for this is that the battle lines have been drawn and most of us have chosen sides and for most of us there was little choice. The only undecideds I have personally run across are democrats that have not yet accepted the fact that their party has finally crossed a line that they can't quite bring themselves to cross.

The core difference between the parties politically is simple... Democrats believe in the empowerment of groups whereas Republicans believe in the empowerment of the individual. Someone once explained it that Democrats define success in how many individuals needs are being provided for by the government and the Republicans define success by how many individuals don't need the government.

The core difference between the parties for the heart, soul and spirit is a bit more complicated for a lot of folks. For me it is simple. It is the age old battle between good and evil. I know that disturbs a lot of people because it sounds 'judgmental' or exclusive or harsh... but it isn't.
Fighting for good, or right does not condemn anyone. For example... abortion. Fighting for the life of the unborn does not condemn those that have had an abortion or might choose to have an abortion... what it does is open up avenues that might make it possible for a woman to choose not to kill that unborn child. As our caring and compassionate leader wants to do... maternity homes, adoption programs another way, a culture that celebrates and rallies around life rather than the death and destruction of our unborn... that isn't harsh, it is loving and caring... it is the left that tries to make it sound hateful and mean.

Please don't buy into the left's version of what is going on here. But bear in mind, that weakness is not an option. Not with the terrorists and not with the liberals. If you get weary of the pain and struggle and give up the fight, you lose. I know it isn't what you want to hear, but be encouraged... by electing a leader like George W... even if he gets weary at times, he will carry the burden and the responsibility and will honor the his oath... cause that's the kind of man he is.
